«Diavolezza  Beim Anschnallen der Skier schon ein kurioses Gefühl, nicht Sorge, denn die Abfahrt ist nicht schwierig, der Schnee wie gewünscht. Es geht dann auch ohne Sturz, trotzdem bleibt das kuriose Gefühl. Was ist anders als früher? Vielleicht macht es die Brille; also ich halte an der Strecke an und putze sie. Es bleibt das kuriose Gefühl, bis ich am Ziel bin und die Skier losschnalle, dabei entdecke: ich fuhr die ganze Strecke mit der Pfeife im Mund.»

The Max Frisch Archive is an independent research institution belonging to the Max Frisch Foundation and based at the ETH-Bibliothek in Zurich. At ETH Zurich, where the world-famous writer graduated in Architecture in 1940, his literary legacy has been looked after, supplemented and worked on for almost thirty years.
